What is the most meaningful part of your job?
The most meaningful part of my job is knowing that my hard work is part of the bigger picture - helping get systems into soldiers' hands.
Have you grown and/or developed your career here at Optics 1? To What do you contribute your success?
I have grown and developed my career here at Optics 1 significantly. Since starting here almost 2 years ago, I have been promoted to Buyer II, received my purchasing professional certification and have gained a lot of knowledge through collaborating with engineering, production and management. I contribute my success to my coworkers – even those in other departments. Everybody has been and continues to be very supportive.
In your mind, what sets us apart? Why Optics 1?
I believe Optics 1 gives a lot back to their employees - more than any company I have worked for. They are also really "forward focused", solution-oriented, and inclusive.

I believe Optics 1 has a great work-life balance. They see that many of us have families that also need our attention and Optics does their best to be as flexible as possible and accommodate various family needs.
