You both have worked for another defense contractor, what attracted you to Optics 1?

Anabel: The first thing that caught my attention was the competitive pay, followed by a culture of respect and consideration towards the employees.

Claribel: The first thing was the competitive salary, of course. The idea of being able to work in an already known area, knowing that I could develop my knowledge and acquire new skills. 

Now that you've had time to acclimate, what sets us apart from other manufacturers in our area?

Anabel: At Optics 1, we are all part of a synergy that is ever present. It's a very rewarding experience. My strengths aren't used in an individual way, instead they come together with everyone else's, and that's why we always achieve the best results. That makes me feel like an important part of the team.

Claribel: The humane treatment, knowing that to Optics 1, we are not a number but an important part of each goal, every achievement, and the growth of the company. Optics 1 keeps people's interest and spirit. They inspire you to give your best every day, challenge you, and help you grow personally and professionally.

You've mastered various processes in a short period of time and have done so with a positive attitude. Can you tell us about your experience?

Anabel: At Optics 1, I have encountered a team willing to share their knowledge with me. I'm allowed different ways of going about my work until I find one that best fits my abilities. This allows me to work more efficiently; I save time and energy without sacrificing the quality of the products or disrupting the rhythm of the work chain.

Claribel: I am competitive, but I also have been lucky to find a team of people with positive energy, where respect is fundamental. A group committed to quality and colleagues who enhance me as a professional and share their experience with me. I feel fully supported in developing my skills and applying my knowledge as well as learning new methods to promote efficiency.

Clearly you both are family oriented! Optics 1 aims to support a healthy work life balance. Tell us more about how you're able to prioritize your family with the support of Optics 1. 

Anabel: Flexibility! It's a key part of why I'm able to attend to my family responsibilities during working hours. Having my family's needs covered and taken care of gives me the peace of mind necessary to develop as a professional and renders my optimal capabilities.

Claribel: This is an issue that connects with me very personally. I was recently in a health-related situation with my daughter and had to take some time off work. I received all of the time, support, and flexibility that I needed. Optics 1 made resources available to help me solve the issue. I am truly grateful and more committed than ever to the company.
